Transmedia storytelling is one of the exciting experiences emerging from the contemporary media ecology. It is a complex research object that can be approached from different perspectives: economical (business models, branding, etc.), narratological (narrative structures, expansion strategies, etc.), legal (copyright, remix culture, etc.), sociological (user-generated contents, fan cultures, etc.). The main objectives of the preconference are to present, diffuse and discuss the cutting edge studies on transmedia around the world and to consolidate an international network of transmedia researchers.
